Health and Safety

IOSH Managing Safely is a nationally recognized qualification in Helath and Safety for managers and supervisors in any sector and any organisation.  It is designed to give managers all they need to know to help them handle health and safety in their teams.

The flexible new high impact programme covers all the main health and safety issues and includes a session tackling the environment.  Managing Safely can be delivered over four days in one week or over a period of four weeks.  The course lasts for 24 hours in total. 

This course enables employees to contribute to the development of safer manual handling methods and tasks.

This qualification introduces candidates to the hazards and risks involved in manual handling and outlines what to expect from a manual handling assessment.  It will enable employees to develop safer manual handling techniques in the workplace.

Assessment: Multiple Choice Exam

Examines health and safety from a supervisory perspective.

Supervisors have both a legal and moral responsibility to look after the health and safety of
employees.  This qualification will enable managers and supervisors to improve the health
and safety culture of their organisation, whatever its size or activity.

Course Level:  Level 3

Course Duration:  Three Half Days

Health and safety understanding for all employees.

Good health and safety standards rely on employers and employees working together.  This qualification represents a foundation of knowledge required by everyone.  It provides essential knowledge and understanding of health and safety for employees working in any business sector.

Course Level:  Level 2

Course Duration:  One Day

Assessment: Multiple Choice Exam

Provides employees with a good understanding and knowledge of health and safety in the health and social care setting.

Based on the first part of the CIEH Level 2 Award in Health and Safety in the Workplace - an introduction to health and safety adapted for health and social care - and the CIEH Level 2 Award in Hygiene, this qualification provides candidates with a good understanding and knowledge of health and safety in the health and safety social care sector.

Course Level:  Level 2

Course Duration:  One Day

This course enables employees to protect themselves in the face of confrontational behaviour.

Work related violence is on the rise and yet employers have a duty of care to provide a safe place of work.
