The courses are designed to help you develop your reading, writing, speaking and listening skills in a friendly supportive atmosphere either at College, in the community or in your workplace:
Level 1 is within the range of GCSE grades D - G whilst Level 2 is within the range of GCSE grades A - C.
Both courses provide an opportunity for you to:
- Check your level of skills.
- Develop and practice skills.
- Plan your own learning to achieve personal goals.
- Build your confidence and improve the skills you need at work or for every day life.
- Prepare for the national tests.
- Gain a national qualification.
Assessment:
- Read information
- Find information
- Listen to recorded information
- Have a discussion
- Answer questions
- Read notes
- Fill in a form
- Do a piece of writing.
At Level 1 & 2 there are multiple choice tests available online or in a paper based format. You have one hour to complete test and, if taken online, will receive your result when you have completed it.
