Who is it for?
Playworkers who are supervising other members of staff within playwork settings.
What entry qualifications do you need?
No formal qualifications but significant experience in playwork settings.
What age range of children is the award about?
4 to 16 years.
How will you be assessed?
An approved assessor will visit you in your workplace to assess your practical competence, knowledge and understanding. You will need to submit a portfolio to show your competence in all areas of the Award.
How long do you have to complete the award?
You will be registered with CACHE for the period of the Award, but will need to check with your Centre how long your contract is with them.
What other qualifications can you do when you finish this award?
- CACHE NVQ Level 4 in Children’s Care, Learning and Development (CCLD4) (you must be managing a range of settings or working as an advanced practitioner before undertaking this qualification)
- CACHE Level 4 Certificate in Managing Quality Standards in Children’s Services (CMQS)
- CACHE Level 3 Certificate of Professional Development in Work with Children and Young People (CPD)
